Main lines of research
• We study the link between endocrine disruptors and type 2 diabetes.
We investigate the actions of oestrogens and en- vironmental oestrogenic pollutants in the function of pancreatic alpha and beta cells with an empha- sis on the molecular mechanisms involved.
• Signal transduction pathways involved in the function and pathology of alpha and beta-cells.
Additionally, we investigate the adaptations of is- let-cells to obesity and malnutrition states.
