Highlights
RESULTS:
• Adipose tissue macrophage infiltration and in- flammation as well as glucose intolerance are aggravated in fructose-fed PPARb/d-null mice via nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2).
• miR-146a might be a new and promising thera- peutic tool for treating cardiac disorders associ- ated with enhanced inflammation in the heart.
• PPAR-ß/d activation may modulate phospholipid transfer protein-mediated preß-HDL formation and macrophage cholesterol efflux.
